This is achieved through a one to one meeting where the individual’s situation is reviewed and the options investigated and an action plan agreed. This first meeting is crucial if the career development programme is to be successful. Our programme makes sure there is commitment from the individual to make it happen for them. It is through this we can help the individual build self belief, boost confidence, and achieve the goals that they have set themselves. A one-to-one coaching/mentoring session generally lasts about 1 -2 hours and covers:
The coaching/mentoring sessions will provide the individual the opportunity to review specific actions, outcomes and any issues arising. At the end of each session agreement is reached on actions to be completed before the next session. CV Coaching / mentoring It is worth remembering that you only have one chance to make a first impression, and that you have about 20 seconds to achieve this – so a well planned and executed CV can make all the difference between success and failure. We are able to help individuals structure and construct their own CV, be it a “generic” CV for speculative applications or a “targeted” CV for specific applications. For speculative applications a generic – broad based CV will demonstrate versatility, but for a specific job application – the CV must be focussed on the areas that are required for the role. Generic / bespoke In some circumstances a “bottom up” approach is needed – and we are able to provide a service of constructing a CV on behalf of the individual. Part of this service includes a review and fine tune this to reflect the individual’s style and personality to ensure that the CV accurately reflects this. Our CV writing services cater for individuals at every stage of their career from Student to Chief Executive Officer. We are also able to provide an updating service which makes sure your CV contains up to date information ( for example mobile number, e –mail addresses, new examinations passed – and your latest role). Generic / bespoke A key requirement of ensuring that your job application or speculative approach is taken seriously is to make sure the accompanying letter “pushes all of the right buttons” with the recruiter or HR Manager. This means making sure you are on the right wavelength – and communicate your message in such a way that it stands out from the crowd – and prompts attention and action. We can provide tailored letters for both speculative and specific job applications that catch the eye. CV Marketing Service We are able to send your CV on your behalf to Companies and organisations who we believe may be interested in receiving this. We will also follow this up for you and report back. Similarly we will send your CV to selected recruitment agencies where we feel they may be able to help. We will co-ordinate interviews and provide progress reports on a regular basis. Personal Development - The key to an individual’s success is often not all about his or her academic or experience, but on their attitude towards themselves and their environment. Having a “Positive Mental Attitude” maybe an old cliché but the difference between success and failure can hinge on this very aspect of a persons make-up. Our programme helps you analyse yourself – and work on improving your “attitude”. We can provide 1 to 1, group, and self-help options for this service. Expert Witness Service - Many jobs today depend upon the individual being mobile – and this can depend heavily on the ability to drive. Lose that right – and lose your job. We are able to provide an Expert Witness Service for individuals who have been charged with drink- driving. Whilst this does not guarantee a reprieve – it will ensure the facts are presented that enable informed decisions to be made. Contractor Administration Services - There are many advantages of using contract labour as it provides an employer with total flexibility, and enables them to only use and pay for what they need. From a contractor’s point of view – they are able to enjoy a premium on their hourly rates over regular employed work – but may suffer from periods when they are seeking a new work. For a contractor to maximise his/her pay – they have to be very flexible in terms of willingness to travel virtually anywhere in Europe, where their particular skills are in demand. In this situation – the contractor incurs expenses in terms of travel, accommodation, and other costs whilst away from home.
